The Gusii Innovation Week 2026 is conceived against a backdrop of the need to tackle the high levels of food insecurity and poverty affecting farmers in the Gusii Region - encompassing both Kisii and Nyamira Counties in Kenya. The Week will serve as a catalyst for agrifood innovation, directly supporting Kenya’s national goals and global commitments (CAADP/Malabo, SDGs) by focusing on “Resilient Agrifood Systems for Nutritional Security & Economic Sustainability.”
