Event Structure
Gusii Innovation Week 2025 is a five-day event (October 27–31, 2025) with three main components:
Mon–Tue, Oct 27–28, 2025 | Kisii National Polytechnic, Kisii
The event kicks off with a 2-day Food Systems Hackathon at the Kisii National Polytechnic, focusing on tech and data-driven solutions for agrifood challenges. This hackathon will bring together 50 young programmers, engineers and agripreneurs in teams to develop prototypes under guidance from mentors.

The Gusii Innovation Summit 2025 is a two-day conference featuring five thematic tracks that explore different dimensions of resilient agrifood systems. The Summit will be held at Kisii University’s auditorium (proposed venue) and breakout spaces, providing a professional yet accessible environment.
Friday, Oct 31, 2025 | Various Innovation Sites | Kisii and Nyamira Counties
The final day features an Innovation Ecosystem Tour that offers visiting guests and participants an immersive look at innovation in action across Kisii and Nyamira. This tour cements relationships formed during the week and inspires participants by showcasing successful local initiatives.
